Atlanta Trip

In June we took a fun trip to Atlanta for Jessica's wedding. It's still crazy to me that it was only an 8 hour drive from us to Atlanta!
The first day we stopped in Nashville and visited the Country Music Hall of Fame and a really neat (and random) park they have in town.

The next day we went to the World of Coca-cola Museum with Mindy and Jeran. While museums in general are not very child friendly, they did do their best to make this one fun. The employees handed out stickers and blew bubbles whenever we had to stand in lines, and there were quite a few different interactive parts of the museum.

Wednesday we visited the zoo with Andrew and Lindsay and Riley. It was the perfect zoo day and the boys had a blast.

Ben liked the petting zoo. Especially since they had little brushes to brush the animals with.

On Thursday we visited Legoland. Ben loved it but it might have been a little too advanced for the little guys. The highlight was probably Andrew's giant tower of legos that all the kids started helping him make.

Friday was Jessica and Chase's wedding. It was a great day. The reception was beautiful. Ben was being a very obstinate two-year-old. He was not happy about wearing a button up shirt. He was not happy eating lunch. He was not happy wearing shoes. And he was definitely not too happy with all the pictures being taken. At one point while I was talking to him he said, "Take 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 pictures! No more pictures! No me like pictures! Pictures are not my favorite!" Luckily there was plenty of room for him to move and explore at the reception and no one made him hold still for more pictures.

At the end of the night, Ben touched the sparkler and burned his fingers. He wanted Grandpa to hold him.

Saturday morning we hiked up Stone Mountain. I ended up carrying Caleb and Cameron carried Ben the whole way. It's definitely the first real hike we've done in a while. We rushed it a little bit because we needed to get back and showered and packed and hit the road before too late. It is still crazy to me to think that we ate lunch in Atlanta and then drove home and slept in Bloomington that night.

Caleb slept for the whole hike up the mountain. Many people commented that they wished they could just fall asleep as someone carried them up the hill.

It really was a great trip. Jessica looked beautiful and it was fun to meet Chase and spend time with family. Ben kept asking to go back with Grandma and Grandpa and Cousin Riley for days after we got home.
