Disappointment

I was born on Easter Sunday. My fifth birthday was also on Easter. So was my 11th birthday. Today I was thinking, it's high time my birthday was on Easter again. It just makes the day seem a little more special. Well, I looked it up online and guess when my next Easter birthday is - when I turn 84!

Swings, Sausage and Squash

The weather this last week has been incredible. Lows in the 50's, Highs almost at 70. Benjamin and I went on some walks, and played at the playground.
The second I put him in the swing he started laughing like crazy.

We made this really yummy - and super easy dinner last night. I think it will be one of my favorites.
Sausage-stuffed Acorn Squash
2 Medium Acorn Squash 2 Tblsp milk
1 lb spicy pork sausage 1 c. baby spinach, finely chopped
1/2 c. chopped onion 1 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
1 egg 1/2 c. dried cranberries

Cut squash in half and remove seeds. Place squash cut side down in microwave safe dish. Cover and microwave on high for 10-12 minutes or until tender.
Meanwhile crumble sausage and cook onion and sausage together over medium heat. Drain. In a large bowl beat egg and milk together. Add spinach, bread crumbs, cranberries, and sausage and onions.
Turn squash cut side up and fill will sausage mixture. Cover and microwave on high for 2-3 minutes more. That's it!
There was a lot of sausage mixture leftover when we made it so I'll probably only do about half the ingredients - or get bigger squash.

Bathtub Buffet

Here at "The Bathtub" we have every seafood delicacy you could ask for, and probably some you wouldn't ask for.
We have seahorse . . .
. . . sponge . . .
. . . green fish . . .
. . . crab legs . . .
. . . and don't forget our turtle heads.
Caution: Diners tend to be very wet and cause large splashes while eating.

Week 2

And the winner is . . . Lisa! Cameron now has a week without ANY computer games - and he still has to pick up his socks.

A Toy Story

Benjamin has learned that it's faster to get the toys out by tipping the toy bin over. Today, he decided to spread them across the floor, and then to climb in himself.

Good thing he's so cute.

Biggest Loser Pace Style

Cameron and I both wanted to lose a little weight and get in shape, so we decided to start our own competition. Each Monday night we weigh ourselves. Whoever loses more weight, gets to choose a punishment for the other person. For example, this week Cameron won. My punishment is that I have to get up and cook him breakfast before he leaves for school every day.
Some of the ideas for if Cameron looses are a week without computer games, having to do all the laundry that week, only being able to watch chick flicks for a week, etc. Some of the things Cameron has mentioned that I will have to do are letting him take off his socks wherever he wants and leave them there for the week, and not using the tv at all to exercise (no wii or exercise videos). We plan to keep going until we both hit our goals.
