Silly September

We cleaned up all the toys in the house. This picture is evidence that our house needs NO more toys!

We went with some of our ward to an apple orchard. These kiddos are sure fun.

My cute boys

So handsome. He wanted me to take pictures of him before church - a very rare opportunity.

Trip to Utah

We had an awesome trip to Utah this past month. The two weeks FLEW by. It really went way too fast. We got to attend both of Cameron's brothers' weddings (and I love my new sister-in-laws, they are so sweet). We went fishing and hiking and sight-seeing and visited with family and friends and played at the farm.Thank you a bazillion times to all of our family who made it so much fun.

Happy Birthday, Caleb Boy!

I can't believe this little guy is one already! Where has the time gone? He is one fun little guy. A few fun birthday facts. He's still our little guy at 19 1/2 lbs. He loves to cuddle and look at books and tackle his big brother. He loves balls and is excellent at making car and dinosaur sounds. He can say momma, dadda and I'm pretty sure he's tried to say ball a few times. He loves to be outside exploring and playing. He loves eating hamburgers - which is pretty amazing since he still has NO teeth.

For his birthday we went and played at the playground by our house.

When Dad got home from work, we went to the splashpad and played in the water.

Then we went and got hamburgers and milkshakes for dinner and headed home to unwrap presents and eat some cake!
Ben "helped" unwrap the presents while Caleb ran around and mostly sat on Mom's lap

Yum! Cupcakes!

And finally, we ended the night with Caleb's favorite activity: playing in the backyard.

We love our little Mr. Caleb!

Atlanta Trip

In June we took a fun trip to Atlanta for Jessica's wedding. It's still crazy to me that it was only an 8 hour drive from us to Atlanta!
The first day we stopped in Nashville and visited the Country Music Hall of Fame and a really neat (and random) park they have in town.
This is how much Ben enjoyed the Country Music Hall of Fame
The park in Nashville had a replica of the Parthenon.

It also had a giant steam engine from WWII.

The next day we went to the World of Coca-cola Museum with Mindy and Jeran. While museums in general are not very child friendly, they did do their best to make this one fun. The employees handed out stickers and blew bubbles whenever we had to stand in lines, and there were quite a few different interactive parts of the museum.
In front of ''The Vault" that holds Coca-Cola's secret recipe. oooooohh :)
Of all the imitation names! CELERY-cola, really?
Ben's not so sure about this bar tender.
Caleb was brave enough to visit the Coke bear but Ben kept a safe distance.
Cameron tastes all the different flavored drinks from around the world

Wednesday we visited the zoo with Andrew and Lindsay and Riley. It was the perfect zoo day and the boys had a blast.
Checking out the flamingos!
Feeding the parakeets
Caleb mostly just tried to grab the birds

Ben liked the petting zoo. Especially since they had little brushes to brush the animals with.

On Thursday we visited Legoland. Ben loved it but it might have been a little too advanced for the little guys. The highlight was probably Andrew's giant tower of legos that all the kids started helping him make.

Friday was Jessica and Chase's wedding. It was a great day. The reception was beautiful. Ben was being a very obstinate two-year-old. He was not happy about wearing a button up shirt. He was not happy eating lunch. He was not happy wearing shoes. And he was definitely not too happy with all the pictures being taken. At one point while I was talking to him he said, "Take 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 pictures! No more pictures! No me like pictures! Pictures are not my favorite!" Luckily there was plenty of room for him to move and explore at the reception and no one made him hold still for more pictures.

Caleb just liked watching everyone

This is very much Ben's attitude toward the whole day.

Grandma always has treats!

Ben found a stick

At the end of the night, Ben touched the sparkler and burned his fingers. He wanted Grandpa to hold him.

Saturday morning we hiked up Stone Mountain. I ended up carrying Caleb and Cameron carried Ben the whole way. It's definitely the first real hike we've done in a while. We rushed it a little bit because we needed to get back and showered and packed and hit the road before too late. It is still crazy to me to think that we ate lunch in Atlanta and then drove home and slept in Bloomington that night.

Caleb slept for the whole hike up the mountain. Many people commented that they wished they could just fall asleep as someone carried them up the hill.

It really was a great trip. Jessica looked beautiful and it was fun to meet Chase and spend time with family. Ben kept asking to go back with Grandma and Grandpa and Cousin Riley for days after we got home.
