Picnic

We went to Cameron's department picnic yesterday. It was a lot of fun (surprisingly). A nice old dog was there and walked up to Benjamin and licked his entire face then laid down next to him to have her belly scratched.

He didn't try to touch the dog but this was his reaction when she left to play with the other kids.

Luckily, he found a bag of chips to spill on the ground soon enough.

And made a friend.

As a side note, I was talking to one of my cub scouts and told him that Benjamin had eaten rocks, grass and probably some bugs yesterday. He responded, "Oh, that's a nutritious meal. Rocks for fiber, bugs for protein, and grass for vitamins." Maybe he was listening when we talked about eating nutritious foods this month. :)

Cool Guy

Benjamin and I hung out in the car while Cameron ran into a store.

Fast Food Ninja

Sometimes Benjamin has trouble focusing at meal time. This day I had to get the camera out and put it in front of him so we could get through a meal. It's a very boring video if you just watch it in normal time but Cameron sped it up and it's pretty funny.

Where oh where has my baby boy gone?

We've had to change wardrobes lately from footie pajamas and one-piece outfits to jeans and t-shirts, polos and dress shirts, and pajama pants. My little baby's growing up and I'm not sure if I'm okay with it or not.

Blue and Gold

While Benjamin was drinking his bottle, he finally held still long enough for me to get some decent pictures of those big blue and gold eyes. I love his eyes - they look brown in a lot of pictures but in the sun they are very blue with a little gold ring around the inside.
